neo-2x phase question
« on: 31 Mar 2009, 08:00 pm »
this may have been covered elsewhere, but not sure what phrase to query on, so forgive me....

(using neo-2x as example as that's what i'm interested in)

What are the effects of the BG tweeter not being co-planar with the woofer VC?

is it accounted for in the x-over?
is it a philosophical difference that Danny (or other designer if applicable) feels is negligible?

What would happen if using the existing x-over, one built the speaker to make the tweet coplanar with the woofer VC?

Thanks!

Driver offset is accounted for by the crossover.

Then the drivers would be out of phase.
