Drilling Cornet PCB
« on: 31 Mar 2009, 05:43 pm »
Due to a few minor miscalculations, I am having to drill some holes on the periphery of the Cornet Board in order to accomodate it in my enclosure. As I am drilling through the copper foil on the board and running stainless steel and brass hardware through the holes I am wondering if I will be introducing a potential for grounding issues. Will I need to insulate b/w the hardware and the board?

Yes, insulate the hardware from the copper.  That's one reason I like to use nylon standoffs.
