The future for Reference product ?
« on: 30 Mar 2009, 05:56 pm »
As a brainstorming, I would like to imagine the "next future" for the Reference range of product.

This could be like a "wish list" as an evolution for the actual products :

- configure the P-9/ AVP 17 like a digital preamp (with digital preout) in which we could directly plug a digital stream player.
- integrate a DAC in the reference power amps.

I know this solution is already made by Goldmund for example, but why not Nuforce !

This is the best solution to have the D to A conversion as far as possible in the system and this would also simplify wiring.

What do you think ?

Regards from France.

We think the future should still be for best of breed products.
We want to continue to offer upgrade (V3) to all amp products (integration always prevent upgrade from happening).
We want to offer the best DAC possible (this product is target for late 2009). Customer who invest in a DAC doesn't need to change it for years.

For example if you have the best DAC (coaxial and optical S/PDIF inputs), then no matter how technology change, you should be able to use the DAC.
What could possibly happen? How about the ability for you to send 24bit/96Khz stereo directly from PC (all your error free music file) by wireless transmission (802.11n) to wireless receiver attached to your DAC? If we can guarantee error free digital transmission, then it will beat any super expensive interconnect cable or CD player.

We do plan to offer integrated products once we have all the pieces in place.
