Monsters VS Aliens 3D

Good movie for the whole family.  I brought my 4,6, and 10 yr old, we all had a great time. 3D glasses were actually Buddy Holly derivatives, not the paper kind.  The effects and the ones for this years up and coming 3D (PREVIEWS) movies were great.
The premise of this movie is just as original as all of Pixar's (meaning very good).  The writing excellent, and voice acting pretty good (this I am not a big critic of though).
My only complaint was with the projectionist, I wear my prescription glasses only to drive and watch TV or movies.  I expect to see dead on focus, and this movie actually had blemishes on the 'stars' face, but it was blurry.  WHY?  Because they are too lazy to focus.  :banghead:
All in all,  :bounce:
Go see it.

Agreed,

An excellent family film. We took our 3 year old granddaughter today and had a blast of a time.

Go see it  :thumb:

This one was good fun, a must see for the kids and a great family film.  The 3D at the IMAX was great.  The movie goes for the more immersive 3D effect rather than in your face.  I forgot I was watching 3D most of the time.  The technology and use of it are maturing rapidly and I'd be surprised if at least half the movies aren't in 3d in the near future.  Surely the vast majority of all the animated movies.  There is still some motion blur and ghosting here and there but it's nothing bothersome to me.  2D movies seem rather lifeless in comparison and I want all my movies in 3D now, I'm converted.  Save 2D for TV, 3D helps make the movie experience something special again.

Saw this with the kids (3 and 7 yrs. old) and it was a great time for them.  The 3D effects were outstanding.  I didn't think the story or the humor was up there with the best animated movies, like Wall E or Toy Story, but it was still very enjoyable.  Bob the blob in particular had the kids laughing out loud.  Two thumbs up. :thumb: :thumb:
