Adding remote control to a Mapletree 2A SE?

I just bought a Mapletree 2A SE and I want to add remote volume. I'm pretty well set on something from Bent, but I'm not sure if there's room. Anyone done this?

I just looked at the Mapletree site and there is a photo of the underside. It's pretty compact, not sure if you will have room or not. My guess is not even though the Bent motorized alps unit appears smaller than most. You might be able to get the pot motor assembly to fit if you were to separate the board from the motor and put it in an external chassis. You might want to check with John Chapman to see if that is feasible. Of course this is a guess based on a photo.
