It is Mike Powell here of VeraStarr. I would like to introduce myself and our company to the circle. We are a manufacturer of upper-end cabling solutions, as well as granite and steel audio furniture. Since the untimely death of Eric Abraham of Cinepro, we have been taking care of the Cinepro customers with NOS parts as well as repair and tuning. We fully stood behind the product and truly respected the sheer performance of these units. Since we feel the world should not be without a multi channel amplifier of this caliber, we have comitted ourselves to improve and produce the 3K6 design under the brand name Verastarr SSA 64. We will produce our line of video cables under the name Cinepro as a tribute to the man who started this. The SSA 64 is based on a 3K6SE Gold. We have upgraded to a 20 amp IEC with removable VeraStarr Silver Reference Power Cord included. All the binding posts have been changed to 24K gold plated 5 ways, instead of the former plastic pieces. Noise floor has been lowered substantially by installation of two EMI shields internally as well as additional grounding on the input board. Verastarr Silver Reference internal wiring is used throughout with WBT Silver Solder. A larger custom torroid was built for 440W RMS by 6 channels (all channels driven 1K tone at 8 ohms) And of course a facelift which will be unveiled upon rollout. The SSA 64 will retail for $8,950.00 and be well worth it. For those that don't understand why create so much power, here is why. If an amp is rated at 100 WPC and listening levels require 100WPC, it is working at 100% of its power, and at its maximum distortion level. If during this time there are explosions with much deep bass, the amplifier will choke from the load being demanded of it. Enter the SSA 64. You can listen at Reference THX levels AND power a subwoofer, without the amplifier even batting an eyelash. The SSA 64 is truly the benchmark of high quality, high level power amplification. Typical THD levels are .025% !! And talk about linear...from 20Hz to 20K it is +/- .25dB!! (drops .25 at 18-20K and at 20-25Hz only) Full bandwith is 10HZ to 100KHz. As always, it is bridgable for 3, 4, 5 or 6 channel operation. Both Balanced and single ended intputs as well.
