     It appears the neon bulb is not the problem.  I managed to rig up a current-limited Voltage source and it glows quite nicely.  On to the IC's and Transistors!

     Now made of "unobtanium", it looks like I need one of these to finish the restoration of a REALLY nice Tehchnics SP-10 Mk. II turntable.  If I can come up with this little neon bulb, this turntable *may* be available for sale soon.  (Sure, I could "kluge" a replacement for it, but I would prefer an original bulb.)  If you have a spare, or know where one *might* be sourced, e-mail me at nostubesforyourdynaco@gmail.com.

     There's not much chance of finding one unless someone is "parting out" another SP series table, but *if* you happen to have one just "hanging around", it could REALLY help!

You might check over at AudiogoN with member "albertporter" as I know he has a couple of these tables and is very connected in the hobby, may know where to source parts....worth a shot anyway...
