Power supply
« on: 26 Mar 2009, 03:52 am »
Hello all, I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but here it goes:

Can anyone recommend a high quality power supply with the following specks:

Input: 120VAC 60Hz 38W

Output: 24VAC 500mA

With a barrel connector on the end?

I need one that is high quality and low noise. Do you know of anyone who makes custom PS?

Thanks!

What are you powering?  Are you sure the output isn't 24VDC instead of 24VAC

It is a mic preamp for recording. I was looking around for something other than the walwart it came with, I figured if there was any place to find an audio related PS it would be found on the circles!

Would you please tell us the specific brand and model # of the mic preamp so we can do some digging.

Maybe these guys would have something that works?

Lots of surplus PSUs, may take a little kludging to get the right connectors and things, though.
