Tube tester here.

Just received a calibrated (Oct 1007) Hickok 6000A from Virginia Tube Audio.  I know it's not like the Amplitrex or other fancier meters but it's really a cool toy for a hobbyist like me.  I am having all kind of fun going over all the tubes I have and grading them.  Now I will know for sure that a tube is live and well before I put it into service since I will throw out the bad ones.  Hopefully, matched tubes (in mutual conductance) will stay matched in my system under real load.  Here is to tube rolling!  :rock:


If any of you want to test your tubes, it will cost you a beer.   :beer:

Rem.......I'd love to find out the status of  my Telefunken NOS tubes   Maybe I can bring them over one week end?

Hakuna Matata Ric,

Just bring a bottle of Chimay and you can test all your tubes.  :lol:

Rem Habari Gani, 

I was in Whole foods and saw a lot of Trappist type beers.  Maybe we ca test some of them too?  :drool:
