Hello everyone,

I have agreed to import and distribute the Styleaudio line of gear to the US.  To start with, I am bringing in the Topaz USB DAC/headphone amp and the Emerald USB DAC/headphone amp.

The products sound great, are well built, attractive and affordable!

Topaz:

Emerald:

Thanks for looking!

I have some idea of what passes for "sounds great" in Lee's book:  At the last two audio shows I attended where Lee's products were exhibited, in both cases his room was the best-sounding room at the show.  Of course credit is due the fantastic Sonicweld speakers by Josh Heiner, but credit is also due Lee's products and his choice of who to associate with.  So if Lee likes these DACs enough to carry them, that says a helluva lot to me.

Click on the links if you haven't already.  The prices will surprise you.  They did me.

Thanks Duke!   :thumb:

FWIW, if I wasn't fortunate enough to be close friends with the owner of Sonicweld and be able to use his $$$$$ speakers as my reference, I would use at set Duke's Audiokinesis speakers.  In fact, I will eventually get a pair of his in here to use in addition to the active Sonicweld's, they are that good.

Peace,

Lee

Cool. Have you cryo'd one yet? I did our whole B-283 tube processor and it took about 500 hours for it to recover from it, the results were well worth it. I'm going to have to come and hear your your room at the next show. Will you be at RMAF?

Cheers,
Ian

Hi Ian,

I haven't cryo'd one yet, I think I will next week when I cryo the Shuguang Treasure's.

I'm sure I will be at RMAF, although I haven't made a firm commitment yet.  Missed it last year for the first time, don't want to do that again!  Am readying for Can Jam '09 now and will finalize RMAF plans after I return from that in early June.

Peace,

Lee

There are quite a few amplifiers/preamps/buffers/headphone amps using similar style Aluminum extrusions.... but these two are by far the best looking of all. And if Lee endorsed them, I am sure they sound as good.

Thanks Boris!   :thumb:

It seems there are a gazillion of similar little doodads coming out of the Pacific Rim these days.  I imagine it is hard for one to know which brands and models are good.  I get a lot of gear through here and have been mighty impressed with some stuff and really let down by others.  I only agree to represent a small percentage of gear that I am presented with.

The Styleaudio gear is made in Korea and is the number one brand of DAC/headphone amps in their native country.  I decided to import it as not only do I think it sounds really good and offers something a little "different" and stands out from than what is out there currently, but it is engineered and built really well.  The PCB layout (I am a "board nerd") and build quality is very impressive for a product at this price point.  Plus, it is attractive, so that's a bonus.

FWIW--the Styleaudio company is really easy to work with, everyone is friendly and responsive.  I was impressed enough with the people I have been dealing with that I helped them out by rewriting a large portion of their blog to make it a little easier to read for English speakers.

In any event, enough about these trick little products for today.

Peace,

Lee

I can't wait to meet you there and check out your goodies. Your Polestar digital cable has really transformed my system for the better. Good stuff!

Starting to get enough of these in the field that the feedback is really starting to pour in!  Link to Head-Fi:

Look for more Head-Fi reviews as well as some "professional" reviews very soon.

Peace,

Lee

Lee,

Any more hints about that other new thing you'll be bringing to Can Jam?  Remote volume?  Inquiring minds need to know more :D.

Thanks,

Jim
