possibly bright rooms
« on: 22 Mar 2009, 05:58 am »
Hey Guys,
Looking at buying my first home and as always squeezing in audio possibilities are a concern way up there on my lists of requirements.
However, for some reason, it seems that most of the places that I am seeing have polished wooden floors and some have brick walls as well!
My question to the masses out there is will this be likely to make my audio just a bit too bright and harsh and are there easy/simple/cheap ways of pegging this back if its the case?
I figure carpet and or rugs could help, but does any body else have any suggestions that don't involve acoustical engineers and/or $10000 price tags?

Thanks guys,
Todd

Hi Todd,

you may want to have a look over at the acoustics circle. Lot of good info there.

Throw down a nice rug over the hardwood floors in the listening area and talk to the guys at GIK Acoustics, they are great.
