The NS-4 is our smallest single ended amplifier capable of delivering 4 watts per channel into the speaker impedance of your choice. We use single tap output transformers to improve performance. We can build the NS-4 around either El84 or 6V6 tubes. There is no extra cost for either tube! You get to choose the color.

Some good upgrades for a NS-4:

1. Two input integrated
2. Headphone jack
3. Ipod input jack
4. Tube rectification
5. Tunable biasing

I won't go too much further, since the NS-8 is the next whole step up. The amp as-is is very neutral and easy to listen to. Biasing is never required, unless you want a DC bias option. I will be pleased to provide a very good deal on the upgrade selection of your choice.

It can't be good, it's TOO CHEAP! 

I would normally be inclined to agree.  BUT- I am NOT agreeing with this statement of justified skepticism.
