These are high-efficiency bass-reflex loudspeakers using the excellent Fostex FX120 5” drivers which feature unique mica-impregnated hemp paper cones. The cabinets were professionally constructed to exact Fostex recommended specifications. All top-grade 13-ply 3/4" Baltic birch plywood construction. Only best quality parts and materials used . Magnetically detachable, acoustic cloth covered speaker grilles. Recessed threaded receptacles on bottom for optional attachment to speaker stands. Natural, clear lacquer finish. Ideal speakers for stereo systems using 2-20 Watt vacuum tube amplifiers. 8-Ohms, 89dB sensitivity. They play very forcefully with just a few watts. 55Hz -20kHz response from a single 5” full-range driver. Extremely vivid and nuanced sound quality. Incredibly smooth response with full bass, lush midrange and “holographic” stereo imaging.
Sound great playing everything from rock to Bach. Superb jazz speakers.
