I have a pair of Meadowlark Audio Kestrels listed on Audiogon. The speakers are in the light ash veneer and the veneer is as good as you'll find on a pair of Kestrels. I say this as I have owned five different pairs of the Meadowlarks and the veneer seems to be a weakness as they age. Check them out herehttp://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?spkrfull&1242240265&/Meadowlark-Audio-Kestrel-light and here's a pic.

The Kestrels are a fantastic speaker for music in a small to medium size room. For $500 they are hard to beat. Selling these because I have three pairs.

Feel free to contact me through AC or Agon. My email address is listed in my profile here.

Thanks Mike,

It's hard to beat these in a small to medium sized room. One of the few speaker my wife liked the looks of. Mainly because they aren't too large. The sloped baffle makes them seem even smaller than they are.

mgalusha

I know what you mean about the looks. I have a pair of Blue Heron 2's in maple with cherry inlays and my wife loves the look of them.

Man, I can't believe no one has snapped these up.  Do you have the shipping boxes?

"Back in the day" when I ran a brick and mortar store, I was one of the first dealers for Meadowlark.  Still have a soft spot for them.

Peace,

Lee

One of the first dealers? Very interesting. Outstanding products, it's a shame Meadowlark went under.

Shipping boxes, grill socks, spikes, and a copy of the manual in pdf. Got it all.
Getting a lot of "I want them" type inquiries, but no follow through.  :?

I really like these speakers...they make music, plain and simple.  After going down the rabbit hole of trying different gear (some good, some bad, some just not working out in my current listening space), I recently bought a 2nd pair of Kestrels to get the musicality back in my system.

These reviews led me to my first pair:
