Got my PB13 sold and carried (barely!) out of my basement.  I think I might have had a stroke halfway up the stairs ;)  So now begins the wait for the sandbox from Eric.  I'll put it in the basement first and THEN fill it :)

:o  Seriously?  Holy schnikes!  I was guessing like 120 WITH the sand.  I guess I need to start doing some bench presses now so I can be ready when it gets here!

You did want the real thing, right? This IS the last sunwoofer in your journey.

What did you make it with 2" mdf? At that weight you don't need any sand.

Heh, I need to break out the power winch and furniture dolly! :)  Do it right baby.  On the plus side, the kids will never, ever be able to knock it over.

I didn't want to brag ;)  Eric told me my cabinets are on the calender for this week, so hopefully in a few weeks I'll have some pics and impressions.  I am REALLY looking forward to it.  With the 600w amp it should be pretty amazing now.

It is for powering a pair of SW-12-08's.

Tim would use a 6000 watt amp from Binford, overload a 15 amp circuit with the breaker taped on, and start an electrical fire with overheated 14 awg wire.

600 watts is for girls.

I guess that's why you have a closet full of the 600W amps.

So what is the deal with the sandbox? What is it? I did a search for the original thread mentioned but there was some kind of database error. Can someone post a link to the original thread?

So what is the deal with the sandbox?
The deal is to reach for the greatest possible reduction in cabinet resonance.
