Hiya Guys,

I'm not sure if you've been watching another post here on AudioCircle but there is a possibility that this site may shut down. I'm not posting this to stir the pot (honest JohnR) I'm only posting this to let our members know where they can find us on a temporary basis.

The plan is to create a thread over at AudioNervosa.com that will keep us in touch until Bryan and I can get www.gatewayaudiosociety.com equipped with some proper forum software. I don't know how long that process might take. Could be two weeks, could be a month. It all depends on our personal schedules.

This post should not be construed as a means to subvert AudioCircles in any way. JohnR has been gracious enough to host our regional audio society and we need to give him the thanks and respect he is due.

Over the years we have grown to be a fair sized and reasonably active audio society. As such, this announcement is made in an attempt to keep our society alive, well and growing.

To our members, I hope you get the chance to read this post. If for some reason this site shuts down, there (no doubt) will be countless threads at the other audio sites so look within those threads for my posts linking to our temporary home until the official GAS site is fully functional.

Please refrain from commentary within this post. If you want to wish JohnR the best of luck and thank him, please feel free to post a reply. If you happen to be a non-member of GAS and feel the need to post commentary regarding what appears to be happening, please post in the Tone Audio thread.

On a personal note;
Thank You John for allowing us to hang out at AC over the years. Its been a great site and has allowed us (GAS) to meet more local people with the same passion for audio we all share. Good luck in all your future endeavors.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm grateful to John for AudioCircle. If it where not for AC, then I would have never met Scott and my fellow GAS brethren.
You guys are cool, I've learned a lot from our get togethers.
Thank you.

Thanks John for doing this site and advancing our hobby through it.

One thought I just had is it would/could be easy to set up a Yahoo group site if needed! Even if temporary.

An Australian once told me that Fosters was the kangaroo piss they ship off to the Americans.
Not sure if there's any truth to that, but just in case, I've not consumed one.
Hopefully this information is found useful. Otherwise I apologize.

It might be Kangaroo piss but it's still better than Bud.

Years ago on a trip to Oz I was told much the same thing  :lol: He told me if it was any good they wouldn't be exporting it as he deftly handed me a four X
