Hi, any input from any apple whiz's (I'm not) will be most appreciated.

I updated the firmware in my Apple Extreme base station.  After that the Airport Express, which is in my music room used to extend the wireless network, won't restart....I've tried numerous resets, etc......no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

perhaps you need to renew the DHCP? This happens to my airports sometimes after my modem goes down.

Are you running Tiger or Leopard? I'm assuming the Extreme is working fine? Also, have you tried connecting to the Express via ethernet? I recently installed the firmware updates for the Express, Extreme, and Time Capsule, and have not had any issues.

Thanks guys; I did some more searching in the apple forums and found that many others had the same issue.  Fortunately for me, it was a pretty simple fix--had to do a couple of hard resets on the Extreme base station and tweak a couple settings, then do a hard reset on the Express, and got it all working again.

So now I have great tunes going in the music room again  :icon_lol:!
