Now, there's a look that would work; neutral, understated and tastefull. Nice work.

Sorry you got a little beat up on the bubinga thread. But I think your comments pointed out a huge advantage of custom speaker building. You can have your speakers any way you want.
The way we look at it, we are building speakers for a specific customer and we do whatever we can to build the speaker of their dreams. We are often asked to build speakers that are not necessarily something we would choose. But it is not our to make judgments. Our job is to turn their dreams into reality.
There is no question that bubinga is one of the most spectacular looking woods available today. Over the years, we have had more requests for it than almost any other veneer. But finishes are personal in nature and no single finish will satisfy everyone. When we began building speakers, one of our goals was to provide every customer with the opportunity to choose any finish they desire. This is something no large speaker company can do.
With a custom approach, the customer can actually take part in the design process. They are not only buying great sound, but are also able to personalize their speaker. Each speaker becomes a statement about the owner. Some like them plain, others like them wild. Some want speakers to blend into the room and others want their speakers to make a statement when someone enters the room. Some like single driver speakers, others like open baffles.
In the end, it is all about providing an opportunity for someone to have the speakers of their dreams with no limitations. I have friends that are very happy with their Bose systems. I never criticize. After all, what is to be gained by raining on their parade. If the end result makes them happy, that's what counts.
