I am considering purchasing a demo 4B-SST from a dealer in Toronto

Does the warranty start when the unit is placed on demo by the dealer or when the unit is purchased by the customer

The unit was placed on demo in January last year

In addition the unit has a push on/off switch per the squared series not a membrane switch ...

Hi nikon,

The warranty is tracked by the date of manufacture - it is really the only way to do it given 20 years.  If you keep the bill of sale for 20 years then that will become the start of the warranty period. Our philosophy is to always put the customer first so a years difference in the manufacturing date vs the purchase date is not a concern.

If the amp has the push/pull switch then it will be one of the newer SQ versions.
