WTB, 6sl7's
« on: 8 Mar 2009, 10:34 pm »
Looking for 6sl7's for a phono stage, need them to be quiet.
Don't need matched pairs, or pairs as my phonostage runs both channels through each tube.
I have GE 211's (8pair), 6sn7's, 12sn7's,  4pcs  RCA 5693's NIB, and a bunch of 6x5g/gt rectifiers for trade.
Todays economic situation requires trade for said tubes.
I'll make sure you get your tube trade moneys worth.
regards, Bill

PM sent a couple of days ago and have not heard back.

I have about 30 or so laying around, with lots of different types (I saw some black/grey glass, a VT-229, RCAs, GEs, Tung-Sols, a Raytheon brown base, and one very odd tall bottle with two small plates that look like they are from a 12AX7).  Need to test them (I can test for noise/microphonics), but there is sure to be something good here.

If you are looking for something in particular let me know.  I don't know too much about 6SL7s, but I am sure someone can make a recommendation.

And to re-iterate, I believe you're looking solely for trades, correct?

thanks

I can't spend any more green on tubes.
Unless you have some holy grail, then I will confront the gatekeeper.

Here is a link to a Tube Asylum discussion and picture of an unusual 6SL7GT that I have, and that you may want to try (appears to be very highly regarded).

http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/tubes/messages/21/217759.html

I don't have any need for 6SL7s, so I will be happy to trade off my whole group.  I did an actual count at 24, with a tremendous variety of internals and brands, some apprantly NOS, but would still need to check them to make aure all are good.  Could keep you busy rolling for quite some time.

Bill,

I'm not looking for 6sl7's but open to bartering for 6sn7, 12at7, 6cg7 or KT66. I would sell the 6sl7's, outright for a very reasonable price.
