I have been happy with elemental designs for cabinet work and flat packs, they can do anything you want and are great to work with.

My main concern would be the cabinet construction.  Are there any pre-fabbed cabinets that can be purchased, preferably in honey oak?

Actually, that size works really well....the Abbeys' soundstage height gets up there.

Yep, you could do that. You could even use 3 of them (SW-12-16FR's) on a single amp and line them up there in the middle of the room.

Tom, it looks like the driver carrying all of your vocal region has an acoustic center about 18" off the ground. Doesn't that make a pretty short sound stage?
I hadn't thought about just one triple cabinet in the middle, but I might need more juice than that  :icon_twisted: and I'd prefer to distribute them a bit more.  As far as just rotating them on top of subs, there comes a point when it just looks goofy and I don't think they'd be as stable if not fully supported (they're heavy).  My other choice is just 2 or 3 more sealed monopoles like Mike Galusha did.

In terms of the height, no, it seems to work just fine for stage, as a matter of fact, terrific.  Maybe that chair has just made me a slumper  :green:

Well, I'm thinking of using them as stands underneath the Geddes 24" high.  They are typically toe'd in between 30 and 45 degrees as shown below.  The GR Servo/Dymaxion sealed monopole is in the front left corners, OB servo's would be either under the Abbeys or maybe in between.  Sorry, probably should have made new thread, so split to an OB setup thread if you want.

I put a w frame ob sub under each of the abbeys, as a stand, like you describe. I have the subs firing at a slight toe in, and the abbeys at a much steeper toe in angle (almost 45 deg). I don't sit too far, about 8.5' and they are separated about 8'.  There is a little bit of overhang from the monitor over part of the sub, but doesn't look as bad as I thought. (I actually started a thread looking for help on how to incorporate these together this way.)

I had gone from 1 w-frame, to 2. And I think original location for the single integrated better (but I love the additional output). Also, should note that I have made several simultaneous changes, and I can't be sure to what to attribute the difference.  I might try some more experimenting in placement.

I already have three of them. V-2, V-1, and Super-V kits. They even go one step further and are open baffle as well.  :thumb:

Danny,

I don't see this 'kit' on your website and there's nothing on the first page linking me anywhere or telling us a price so I'll just skip to the end here and ask where to find the info!

Thx

I don't think so Hal

The first post by Danny on the first page is a sub package with an amp is it not?

Thx
Dave

Ah, I didn't realize what thread this was.

We don't have a sub-woofer "kit" offered. I offer the woofer and amp only and you have to build you own box.

I offered that package deal for a limited time to help Brian move some of the natural Oak colored enclosures.

Dang

C'est la vie.

Suggestions for a sub to match the N3's I'm building?

My room is about 14'x 22'

Thx
Dave

If it were me then I would use a single SW-12-04 in the "sand box" and power it with the A370PEQ amp.
