Due to Icon is 12w, but since it is a class-D amp, is it possible for Icon to drive a 15w-80w speaker like PARADIGM Atom Monitor?

I don't try this combo but I think depends...Do you want use it as near field monitor?  Do you want a great SPL? How many large is your room? :icon_lol:

I do not like lound sound. What I am afriad is Icon is not enough power to drive bookshelf speaker perform, just about it's performance, no SPL needed. My room is about 15 sq.m.

The 01/2009 Stereophile reviews mentions the Atom: http://www.stereophile.com/integratedamps/nuforce_icon_usb-input_integrated_amplifier/index1.html

Yes, that's where it from. But the author just mentions it, but didn't try it.

Is there anyone try other bookshelf speaker? I think Atom is a sensitive speaker among bookshelf speaker, it should be ok if other bookshelf speaker perform very nice ...
