Yeah, I know you can't go on ac from work.  Nick Cave's dark, but he doesn't do country.  :singing:

Yea here first 3 cd's were pretty much dark country if there is such a thing i remember one description as a female Nick Cave

Really? never heard that comparison before, and I totally disagree with whoever said it. I've seen many Cave/PJ Harvey comparisons for their shared musical affinities over the years and that one makes perfect sense to me (though they are still very different in many other ways), but not the Cave & Case comparison.

And this discussion reminds me.. I'm still bummed that I only caught the final notes of Neko singing to the ceiling of the Chicago Theater when she opened for Cave several years back. f'ing Chicago traffic. :(

No i don't see any thing in common as far as style or lyrical content between PJ Harvey and Nick Cave, Which i do between Nick and Neko in a murder Ballad kinda way. I saw Neko open for Nick at the Beacon Great Show  :thumb: Now the rumor the Nick was exploring PJ's cave during the recording of Murder ballads might give them something in common though  in any case i am a big fan of all three. cant wait for the new A Woman A Man Walked By
John Parish, PJ Harvey

dude. may I call you dude?  :P The Parish/Harvey album has been out for about 10 days now (unless you mean that you're waiting for delivery, or for the vinyl version or some such). The hardcore fans mostly love it to death, already placing it near the top of the Harvey catalog. Critical reception has been mixed.. the negative tends to be along the lines of the album being too "out there" or different just for different sake. Gotta run, but a more detailed response later.

Cool, didn't know she had a new one coming out.  Neko Case is one of my all time faves, including her stuff with the New Pornographers. :thumb:
