I've gotta get my "garage" system back on line. I was using an old Yamaha 2070 pre/pro to power 2 pairs of speakers in two separate rooms...it's failing and probably not worth fixing. It was less than ideal, but I had the gear left over from years of audiophilandering.
Ideally, this would probably be a simple preamp and a 4 or more channel amp, maybe two 2 channel amps. Perhaps another old pre/pro but that's more complex than it needs to be.
Separate amplification is best so I can turn one room off.
Cosmetics aren't a priorty, this is more of a workhorse situation...hey it's a garage and the acoustics stink anyway! Don't want to spend much, vintage is fine.
So what have you got that's sitting around in the closet? Also would welcome alternative ideas, if you're inclined.
