Line level switch?
« on: 26 Feb 2009, 07:29 pm »
I'm looking for a simple line level switch that will allow me to switch between two sources. Simple, transparent and inexpensive are what I'm looking for. I know there are very inexpensive switches available but I want one that doesn't add grunge to the signal.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Your best bet is probably DIY.  I would wire a DPDT mini toggle switch [smaller switch, shorter signal path], three pairs of high quality RCA jacks and premium hookup wire wire in a small aluminum Radio Shack project box.  Keep wire lengths to an absolute minimum and use a fine quality solder like WBT or Cardas quad eutectic.

The Niles AXP-1 works well, and sounds fine to me.
