I am the original owner. I love these speakers, but I am selling for two reasons. One, they are my first "real" speakers and as much as I've enjoyed them, I feel I need to continue on exposing myself to different types of speakers to increase my education about the various options (sound signatures, etc.) and to be sure I am choosing the best sound "fit" for me. Two, my listening room is a bit small and I am looking to replace these speakers with a set that are a few inches shallower than these Rockets. While not a major difference in depth, every inch will help a little bit.

Link to a few pics in my just added gallery - hopefully this works:

DETAILED NOTES: Condition-wise.. I would say 8 out of 10. Any flaws are of the type you need to be examining them within a few feet and with brighter room light to see. Regarding the veneer, for starters.. it's beautiful. And there is no peeling or unnatural lifting/lumps and no seams showing. They've always been kept in subdued lighting, away from direct sunlight.

Endcaps - no chips, no damaged corners or uneven coloration or uneven gloss on the black finish. On one of the two speakers, however, there are a few relatively light scratches visible when you catch it from the right angle (1st one is a 'gathering' of wispy-like scratches within a 1.25"x.25" area. Then there a couple more single line ones, similarly faint, each about a couple inches long). None of these are deep, so they might be "buff-out-able" with the right polish or wax. Since I've always kept them in dim light, I haven't felt the need to try & buff 'em out as they're not visible in that context.

One other thing 'black caps' related.. when I bought the speakers from AV123, on one of the two speakers, I noticed two - 3/4" single line "splits" on the little ledge that sticks out just below the speaker grill. They are positioned perpendicular to the front edge, not running along it. It's not the actual wood, but the finish itself, I think. (Come to think of it, I have the same thing on my UFW10 Rocket sub too, which I bought second hand from a forum member, so it might be a fairly common thing with black-capped Rocket speakers as the previous owner of the sub never even mentioned it. Or maybe he just isn't as picky as I am ). I was concerned for a while, thinking that these could worsen, but it turned out to be nothing to worry about. It's something you can only see if you're up close and looking for it at the right angle. Plus, if you leave the speaker grill on, you cannot see it anyway.. I'm just pretty anal about everything I own or do, so it bothered me for a little while, then I quickly forgot about it until doing my inspection for the purpose of selling.

All in all, these 250MKII's are in great shape.. having no pets, no kids & no smokers roaming about, it's been easy to keep them looking pretty much as good as they arrived.

Also, I have the original double set of boxes for shipping, along with the paper instructions.

PRICING: I am looking for $500 plus shipping & split paypal fees of approx. $15 (I'll accept cleared check too, of course). Any questions, ask away! I've got more pictures too which I can email or try uploading to my "album" here.

Well, I haven't been properly attending to the effort of selling these speakers. Other commitments, etc.

Price drop to $475, plus ship. Thanks for looking.  :)
