Hello,

Can you help me to decide which one is better between :
1. Koetsu Black Goldline price range USD 1,295 at audiogon.com
2. Yamamoto YS-03S price range USD 1,010 at ebay.com
3. ZYX R100H price range USD 800 at sorasound.com

Thank you and I really appreciate your help.

I don't know about Yamamoto but I have Koetsu Rosewood and ZYX airy 3S re-tipped by Soundsmith. Much will depend on your rig but my take is that ZYX is more neutral and polite in comparison.  Koetsu has it's signature mid-range bloom and hefty bass.  ZYX is excellent in retrieving details.  You like small ensembles with voice, I would recommend Koetsu as the "bloom" just works right for this.  ZYX is more "airy" in treble.  Hope this helps.

Information on your vinyl rig would help.

I have JA Micheel Gyrodec with Rega Arm.
And now I already had Focal JMLab Speakers with Cary tube amplifier, Rogue Perseus Pre amplifier.

I really confuse to decide between :
1. Koetsu Black about USD 1400
2. ZYX R100H at Sorasound about USD 800
3. Yamamoto YC-03S or YC-03M about USD 1,010

Please help me, Sir.

Thank you for your kindness and I am waiting for your reply right now.

I suggest that you visit Arthur Salvatore's High End Audio Site ( http://www.high-endaudio.com/RC-Cartridges.html#ClA ). He rates the ZYX as the best. In his ratings he does mention Koetsu with positive comments. He does not mention Yamamoto. Anyway neither the Koetsu or the Yamamoto made it to Arthur's class C.

You will find this to be an informative site, which can be helpful.
