I read the linked thread. What is the purpose of the poly fill? When building bass traps rather than broadband absorption panels, is it wise to use some paper of plastic facing to prevent higher frequencies from being absorbed? I started a prior thread, and got good advice. I am replacing most of my panels with thicker panels, but I am uncertain about the bass traps, i.e. what makes it a bass trap and not merely a broadband absorber?
