Proceed Pre Preamp----MINT Condition $475--SOLD!!!
« on: 20 Feb 2009, 03:11 pm »
I am selling my excellent condition Proceed pre.  It is highly regarded and shares many design similarities between it and the Mark Levinson gear.  One of its best features is the Home Theater Bypass function which allows it to seamleesly connect to an amp and also incorporate your HT receiver into the mix.

I have it up on Audiogon now.

Refer to the listing for more info and some pics.  I have all the original boxes, remote, manual & etc.

Asking $475 plus shipping costs.

If you need more pics, let me know!

Thanks for looking,

Brandon

I happen to be looking for a preamp and this one is in my price range.  Unfortunately, I've never heard of Proceed and couldn't find anything written about it after doing a Google search.  I couldn't even find a webpage for Proceed.  Actually, I found one comment which wasn't positive.  Perhaps the seller could say something about it or include a link to a review.  I don't even know if this pre is SS or tubed.  I'm  looking for tubes, btw.

A quick Google turned up what's left of the Proceed website, which includes product documentation: http://www.proceedaudio.com/docs.html

This appears to be the manual for this product: http://www.proceedaudio.com/manuals/PRE_Non-CE.pdf

It appears to be solid state.

Hey guys,

The proceed group was the byproduct of the Mark Levinson family for the HT crowd.  Much of the proceed products contained similar technologies & features of the highly regarded and much more expensive Levinson gear.  After ML & proceed were bought out from the Harman Group, proceed was dismantled because they felt the more affordable proceed line was stealing sales from the higher end stuff.

This is a SS preamp that listed for $2k back in the day.  There are still technicians working in the harman group that can fix proceed gear if any issues ever were to arise.  The links above are correct and one should lead you to the Harman group for support if necessary.

This preamp normally goes for over $600 but due to the economy, its a steal right now!

reviews:

Also do some searches in the AVS forum for more info.  Many people over there feel the proceed gear is a steal for what it offers, I still have the proceed amp3 and love it!

All the original material, remote, box, & etc are included.  Its mint condition!

Let me know if I can be of any more help.
