Replacing binding posts in amplifier......

Is this a simple job ?
One thing I've never liked about my amp (Cinepro) is that the binding posts are not of the highest quality.
Any recomedations of better posts and will changing them improve the amps sound at all or just make it easier to use?

Anthony,

I don't know the Cinepro, but it should not be a hard job, assuming the posts are accessible.  You will need a soldering iron, a wrench and a screwdriver.  Take off the cover (hence the screwdriver).  The binding posts are probably attached to the case with hex nuts.  After desoldering the wires from the posts (label the wires with masking tape), use the wrench to loosen and unscrew the nuts.  Remove old binding posts.  Then reverse the process.

Hope this helps.

Check #1 of this link--

Ric recommends a wire to wire connection.  The binding post is still there as a clamp but the signal doesn't pass through it. Haven't tried it, but it sounds interesting: conceivably, you could TRY it, see if there's a sonic difference--you could always substitute Cardas or Music Posts later.
