A few things we wanted to let you know about:
Feedback Management implementation has been completed. As many of you know, up until now, we could only submit ratings based on completed AUCTION transactions. If you bought or sold through an auction listing, when logged in to your account, you would go to "feedback management" area and check your open feedbacks. The software would record your transaction and allow you to leave feedback for the other party. Please note that nothing has changed for auction listings. You will still manage your feedbacks the same way.
SInce we extended this capability to CLASSIFIED listings, the process works as follows: When logged in, go to the listing detail page - the one that you just bought or sold. If you are a buyer, click on "leave feedback" link and fill out the form. When done click "submit" button. This process will then give the seller opportunity to leave feedback for you by viewing his/her own feedback and clicking on (your) user name and filling out the form.
Since feedback is tied to an item or transaction (it is not arbitrary) both parties are allowed to leave one feedback for one another per listing. Because it can only be initiated from an active listing detail page, we have extended listing duration for classifieds from 30 to 60 days.
All disputes are resolved by site admin and feedback posts modified accordingly.
The next thing is addition of DIY category. It's been suggested to us (thank you Jim) that we create a category for DIYers to accommodate the ever-growing segment of the market. We did create this category and for the time being in it, we established two subcategories: DIY Parts and DIY Completed. We will watch how this develops on our site and set up new subs if needed.
Lastly, we have a cosmetic change. All featured listings on the home page are now shown using a different technology then previously. We felt that by using this technology we can give more prominence and a really unique way to all of you choosing to showcase your items as featured. The Listing Flow is only active on the home page of the site. Navigation is pretty simple and clicking on focus image takes you to its detail page.
