The processor that comes with is is WAYYYY!!! Tweakable!!! You can literally do things with it that I never thought possible with a sub. It is from DBXPRO Driverack series, model 241. It has an RS232 port on the front so you can literally tweak while listening!! Very easy to use and customize. I am driving it with my Carver 85 watt amp, and the pictures are shaking on the walls, so I am sure that any power source would do.
Very deep, clean, and fast bass. And if you don't like the sound, you have 99 presets that you can mess with to get it just right.
As far as the price, Zu did supply the interconnects to go from Pre to DBX and DBX to Amp (their Crux level), the sub, and the DBX processor, which can be used as a parametric EQ for your main speakers too if needed. They will also give some set-up support and advice on how to work with the processor. You are getting more than just the big black box for your money.
With the functionallity, and performance, I think that this will give some of the big named and big dollar subs a run for it.
The coating is like the stuff that comes on professional DJ equipment so it is very tough and scratch resistant.
