...but I've at least reached the point of expensive diminishing returns.
Damn, it actually sounds like a reasonable approximation of the real event in here now, but the next step could get expensive.
I had all my stuff packed up from 1994 to late 2000 because I knew what a damn distraction this disease is and I needed time to take care o' business (literally). So, I limited myself to a Panasonic boombox and cheapo JVC portable CDP for 6.5 years (much to the delight of my wife I may add), didn't pick up an audio rag and forgot about my dusty gear.
Late 2000, business running better, I took the old gear out. Know what? - sounded like shit. Not even close to real deal. Like a man awake from a coma I learned about everything again.
3 years later and not a gargantuan amount of money, it sounds damn decent; I'm friggin' pleased.
Many thanks to all of you that tutored me on Harmonic Discord and now here on AudioCircle and a very special honorable mention to Curt Wishman/IRD for making the overachieving Purist LLC only $665.00 delivered.
Additional thanks go to:
LAT International - for not breaking the bank and my balls to get me into some very decent, shielded wire all around.
Radio Shack - for not knowing, amongst your garbage, a few pearls that you could have charged more for, but were too un-audiophile to know better. Like, the fabulous Lineaum tweeter and CD Cleaning Pen with Kodak Optical Lens solution.
