could you get some pictures to see if they are the NOS tubes that we crave rather than a current manufactured version?   or maybe, we could do a smaller group buy to find out if they are the real deal and then follow up with more if they are truly NOS.

There is a guy who advertises on ebay (tube museum) who advertises aplitrex analysis of tubes for $1/ea with a minimum of 10 tubes.  He is in the NY area.  This might be one way to go--I think this would be better than sending to one of us who could just test in a B&K or Hickok tester.

Thanks Mikel, for the info. I'm in the NY metro area and would consider bringing the 6H30s in to be tested. I also have a bunch of my own tubes I would like tested so it would solve two problems at once. I'll contact him to see where exactly he is and if it's feasible.

Did some research: apparently this dealer has a less than stellar reputation on AA (see Shady Lane). His testing prices do seem unusually low.  :?

from the info i have gathered i feel pretty safe in saying that these are NOT nos tubes but rather new issue.

I have no knowledge, and I agree his prices are pretty "reasonable."  Another ebay seller also does this at a higher price:

I have a hickok and a B&K, but the Amplitrex testing has me intrigued....I just can't justify buying one of these myself.
