I'm trying out a new set of stand mounted speakers that don't come with dedicated stands.

I'm wondering what speaker to stand interfaces (cones/spikes, roller balls, isolation mat/feet etc..) would
work best for coupling or decoupling the speakers to the stands?

At Merlin's recommendation I just used Blu-Tak between their TSM-MM's and Osiris metal stands (flat plates).  I wasn't keen on spiking a piano finish and this seemed to work well.  They even stayed put without problems.

I'll second the Herbie's Audio Lab recommendation.  I'm using several of their products and think they make a subtle, yet meaningful difference - the low price and simplicity sweeten the deal.

I experimented with a bunch of interfaces. My favorite was Vibrapods and decoupling my monitors. Many improvements and no weaknesses. Been running this way for several years now.

stillpoints worked best for me. Tried a bunch of others first, but the stillpoints definitely were the best in my set-up

These.  Switched to them years ago (from squishy things) and have no interest in looking for something better.

Fact is, I doubt "better" exists as it pertains to my tastes and system, but that's JMO.
