Hello all!  Just picked up my shinny new RM40's last fri at the VMPS factory in San Pablo.  Just to see all of the parts and pieces and all the new cabinets just waiting for drivers was enouph to make me smile from ear to ear!!  Many thanks to Brian, and John C for the great communication and fine service!  I had the pleasure of meeting the Big B while I picked up the speakers, and got to shoot the breeze for a while before I left.  Kinda like a mad scientist or nutty professer kind of guy, And I mean this in the very best way!!  A nicer man you could not meet,, Thanks again Brian!!    I am still a little in shock as to the quality of these beasts. The finish is much better than I expected, they look great!  I got them home and couldnt wait to hook up these huge monster pieces of audio heaven.  I was not disappointed,,,,from the first notes I knew I had made the purchase of a life time. After about an hour of adjusting and listening, and pinching I had the lovely beasts howling like the speakers I have always wanted.  Brian, again it is guys like you that make it possible for working stiffs like myself to own a big gulp of the holy grail at a price that is truly mindboggling!! I knew you would like them. Any improvements you now make to the front end of your system will also notch up the sound of the 40's. All you need to do now is sell me your 626's and your set.

Good to have you aboard.

Glad they are breaking in nicely.  Just give them 90 days or even 6 months, you will be uncovering layers of sonic information that you didn't know was there.

It gives you reason to re-listen to your whole music collection over and over a few times.

As far as listening to all my cd's for the first time again, It is true!   I am hearing things I never heard before, they seem to get  better every day.  Just a remarkable speaker.
