Guys, I watched "The Secret Life of Bees," a BB rental, with my wife last night.  This "chic flick" stars Queen Latifah, Dakota Fanning, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson.  The movie is a drama and surprisingly (to me) the acting was quite good.  I would not say it was a great movie but I watched it and therefore will give it 2.75 stars out of 5 for a rating.

Yup, the wife and 2 daughters said it was one of the best movies they've seen in a long time. Me, I'd give it 2.5 stars also.

Definitely a chick flick.

I have to admit I felt the acting and movie as a whole was very good. It was a little more serious than we had expected but very good none the less. We just weren't prepared for a tear jerker. 3 out of 5 stars.
