anyone compare the raysonic cd-128 to the cd-168?
is the 168 worth the price difference?

I have the 128 and saw this at sixmoons.com, You have to take reviewers with a grain of salt but this comparison pretty much convinced me that I'm not missing much with the 128  as opposed to the 168, and that the added cost of the 168 made the 128 the better value.

Had both.  Was disappointed I spent the money to get the 168.

I've had a 128 for two years, since before the arrival of the 168, and never a problem. NOS output tubes have improved the sound-- tighter bass and smoother treble. I've not heard better for less than $5k.

The 168 did not appear to offer enough bang for the buck, whereas the 128 remains at a price-point that is tough to beat.

I have read the reviews too.
I replied to this on AA but for the time I have had the 128 I have enjoyed it.
Using the JAN Phillips 6DJ8 and a Signal Digital Power Cable.
Again, at the used the price I got it for it's killer. I hope it lasts. Recommended!
