Wow.  Anybody seen this?  It's based on a horrendous true story and acted out superbly by a large ensemble of very young actors including Justin Timberlake.  Now, this ain't no teenybopper movie.  It's grim beyond grim and joyless in spite of everybody appearing to have so much fun.  It reminds me of Wonderland.  Both are well made art films based on true stories and performed miraculously, especially this one, about very short sighted people with bad endings.  Dope, wouldn't ya know it, is at the center.  Some kinda movie, tho.  I thought Requiem Of a Dream was over extended doo-doo, hyperbole is all, but not this one.  It's REALLY scary.  Get a load of Sharon Stone's bit near the end.  If they had a category for docudramas, this here is a contender.

I actually wish I would've missed this one... makes you feel like the death penalty is a good idea.

Saw this one awhile back, I enjoyed it.  Emile Hirsch is not my favorite, he always seems to bring little to the table for me.  Timberlake is always better than I expect. I have to give the guy credit, he's got some talent and he's a funny dude.  His SNL work has convinced me enough.  Now Ben Foster, that's my guy.  One damn fine young actor and his role here and well as elsewhere is totally convincing and downright scary.  Foster plays crazy, scary with the best of them.

Agreed about Ben Foster...he was amazing in 3:10 to Yuma, too.

And I hate to say it, but J.Timberlake is probably one of the top 5 most talented people in all of entertainment. There isn't much the guy can't do.

Now that's a statement that would make someone think you've lost your damn mind, but I get where you're coming from and you might be right.

I wouldn't rank but again, you want to not like the guy for some reason, you want to discount his talents but in this climate if you've seen enough of his work you have to acknowledge and give him his due.  I mean the guy sings, writes, plays instruments, dances, acts, plays sports well, dates the women you want to date, doesn't take himself too seriously and has a sense of humor.  Sounds like the guys living the dream to me, I've seen far worse that's for sure.  I mean I was watching SNL and he did some skit called "&*^ in a box" and I was nearly in tears it was so stupid, crass but grossly funny and yet so true from a guys perspective.  And if you get the music spoof then it is just hilarious.

LOL, the D in a box thing had me rollin...I think it was the costumes as much as anything, but that was some funny stuff. And yeah, that's exactly why I say he's among the most talented people in Hollywood...the guy just does it all and does it well. It's hard to really take someone in a boy band seriously, but his solo CD was actually really good, I thought. Even though most of what he does isn't really my thing, you can't deny the guy's immensely talented in many ways. If there's any justice in the world, the guy's got a really small package

If I wasn't comfortably in my manhood I wouldn't be having this conversation.  Two grown men talking about Timberlake, Geez.  Sadly, I saw The Love Guru and he's got a big package too, so you're screwed AJ  I cringed writing this.  I can't speak of Timberlake for awhile now.

Instead of reading the paper this morning, I have to thumb through my wife's Victoria Secret catalog and cleanse my mind.
