My HT is a dedicated room 15X18 with 10' ceilings (11' in the front because of a 1' drop built into the foundation).  There are custom cabinets surrounding my 120" fixed screen that will encase my speakers.  I am finishing my NEO2X cabinets this weekend for mains, then will start working on 3 AV1RS cabinets for surround (6.1) and am going to figure out the center channel with help from Danny.  My plan is to get all of the cabinets ready and then order all of the drivers in one shipment (or maybe drive to GR, which is not too far from Dallas).  One question is what to do for subs.  Because of layout, I am thinking two sub enclosures in the cabinets.  Price is an issue on this project (filling an entire room with electronics, speakers, furniture and decor with my business slow is not wildly popular at home), so I am thinking of driving them from one amp.  I do not need to move the house off its foundation, just solid support under the NEO2's when listening to music in 2 channel (I will pull the NEO's out of the cabinets for that) and decent bass for movies.

I figure I have 3 options for each box - meaning I will end up with two of these combinations in separate sealed boxes:  SW-12B/PR-12A combo; SW-12B/SW12B combo; or SW-12-08 Servos.

Thoughts?  Also, thoughts on whether I need to treat the interior of the cabinets with some dampening?  Thanks

Whichever way you go, you'll want to line the box. No Rez is my personal favorite. And whatever you do, build a sold box. Well braced MDF goes a long way. Also see the "sand box" design on the SW-12-04 page.

The SW-12B's and PR-12A's are the way to go on a budget. You can easily drive the pair of them with one amp too.

Noting beats the servo subs in performance, but they will be a little more expensive.
