Well reviewed and regarded Usher S-520 speakers.
New in box.

I bought these for a 2nd system that is not going to materialize.
Instead of taking up space in my closet, I thought I would pass them on to someone else.
(and have some $$ to spend on NOS tubes)

Price is $350 $325 shipped to lower 48.  Paypal preferred and no fee charged.

PM if interested

Bumpity (and price drop)

DeanSheen

What color are these?

I tried to PM but it seems to be broken for the moment.

They are black, per the Subject line of the post.   :duh:

The 520s are awesome speakers, especially at this price.

I have no affiliation with seller; just happily listening to my own 520s as I surf.

Someone buy these now.  My mom has a set of S-520s that sound WAY better than they should,  $325 is an excellent price for the level of sq offered.

DeanSheen

Paypal was sent this evening.

Glad you guys like them.

I spaced the black because all I read in the title was Usher Audio S-520.

These will be mated with a Onkyo A-9555 which I hope has enough juice to do the 86db justice.

If we want to play the numbers game, the speakers say power handling 75w & the Onkyo is rated 85w but we know how that goes.

droht

I think that is more than enough amp.  I've run 3 or 4 amps at 50wpc or less with the 520s.  No issues.  I'm listening at 75 - 85 dB though, so if you are looking to really rock out I can't really speak to that.

DeanSheen

No, not really rocking out.  It's for my sisters place, which isnt that large.

As far as rocking out, I did read one review about bottoming out, but she's not going to play them near that loud.

Maybe eventually I'll be able to talk her into a sub anyhow, or just buy her one for Christmas.

You dont know what a joy this is for me, first time in many tries that someone listend to my advice on buying equipt.  Everyone seems to want to ask me about "what can I do with 400 bucks".  (for a system)

Happy listening..... :thumb:

Bummer, thats a little to high for you to lean on them w/ the sub module.

Man, I'm coming to Denver this year and buying you a beer.

Hilarious.  I think you do some of your best work when stretching.
