Yeah, Electronluv makes some of the coolest looking amps out there.

In addition to looking rather unconventional, the design is really unconvetional too.  How many commercial tube amps out there use mecury vapor rectifiers, eimac transmitting tubes for drivers and output?  I know of none other.

When I posted this topic, I was really drooling over the design of the amp in the ad, rather than the looks, which are cool in a unique sort of way, but its the design that attracts me.  I'd take this amp over the Wavac 833, also listed on a'gon ($31k), in a heartbeat.

The Electronluv amp is inspiring, whereas the Wavac is not.  My $.02.

I know I always try to sell my handmade, $11,000 amplifiers with the worst photographs possible.  It really makes a good impression.

You know, I'm not so hip to the whole super-cool net-lingo thing, so I had to look up what "prOn" was. Imagine my surprise when I discovered this on netlingo.com:

Quote
PRON

Porn

Text message used primarily in online chat and IM, it is intentionally misspelled to through others off.

I hope and pray that the typo in the definition of the typo was deliberate.

Anyway, I'm with Josh.  I don't care whether prOn looks good, just as long as it's fiendishly innovative.

Looks to me like it might make a mean cup of espresso!

Chadh, yeah, that was an intentional cheeky reference to net lingo.  the "o" in pr0n is a zero, not a letter too.
