You know who you are http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=61015.0     :duel:

Seagate has suffered some pretty horrific problems in the last month

So Seagate has joined the club in having problems like all the other manufacturers  :banghead:

Seems that you failed to mention that Seagate has gone the extra mile to address this single issue and has both a diagnostic procedure in place to see if indeed there is a hard drive inaccessibility problem present and a firmware fix for those who do. Mmm, Seagate is doing the right thing by it's customers and addressing the issue,,,, free of charge. I find it strange that you embellished things w/o providing all the facts in your post. Probably too busy banging your head against the wall maybe? :D

Cheers,
Robin

Peace - I have drives from all manufacturers, very few problems overall

Seagate promises second fault fix in 24 hours
Turn brick into working Barracuda

Not trying to edit anything, just wanted to show that they ALL have issues with some drives, and will in the future I'm sure
