Hey guys.I have a pair of Paul (Occam) Kaplan's power cables. I've been playing with them on the 'Stats with the new amps and initial impressions are very positive. Hard to get specific without doing a comparison and listening on my known system. Anyone interested in a couple of adult beverages and some listening on the system downstairs? Bryan
I visited Paul's house and came home with 2 pairs of rhodium and copper power cables for my BAT Amp. So far so good! I am currently listening to the Rhodium, my wife thinks I have gone insane! She told me [joking/mocking voice] to pick the most expensive one, likely it will sound better. Not with Kaplan Cables. They are great sounding cables and not too expensive compared to signature brand name cables that are several hundreds more expensive. It is safe to say that no sparks or fire in my living room. All cables that comes out of Paul's house are tested for shorts, correct polarity and conductivity so it's safe if that's a minor consolation. I know Paul showed them to me. Mine does not have Labels yet but they are coming soon.My findings will be subjective and definitely system dependent. Sonically, both Rhodium and copper sounded very good in my system! I like the sound of copper and also loved the sound of rhodium. I am still trying to define what rhodium sounds like vs copper without copying someones findings. Hopefully, I can distinguish and define the sound that I am hearing from each cables. Nevertheless, I am proud to say 2x now that Both cables sure sounds really good in my living room. I am lucky because I have both of them (2 pairs rhodium & copper) and can be switched almost on the fly. I think I am going to try them in my BAT preamp, Richard ISO gray, CD player or PS Audio USB DAC. Ha ha ha Are you Kaplan cabled? I am!Thanks Paul!Levi
