I feel the Spire is ML's best current speaker for the money. Improved bass speed and depth compared to the older models. The 10" sealed woofer does a nice job keeping up with the electrostat panel along with providing deep powerful bass. I still love cones and domes but nothing compares to the midrange of the ML especially on vocals. Moving up to the Summit X. $5600 for my Spires in upgraded Bubinga finish. siam37@sbcglobal.net
