Abbey Road these days.  But for the record it was the white album for several years, and rubber soul for a while too...   :?

Well, I voted for Rubber Soul, because we could only pick one.  But if I'd been able to pick my Top Five, it would have been the great run starting with Hard Day's Night and ending with Revolver (Hard Day's Night, Beatles for Sale, Help!, Rubber Soul, Revolver).  That's when they were at their peak, producing one outstanding 3 minute song after another.

Ok, I took the easy way out by selecting "Beatles 1".  This way I get to hear so many of their great songs.   :thumb:

If I had to pick a studio album, I probably would go with Abbey Road, but I could be equally happy with Revolver, The White Album, Hard Day's Night, HELP!, Rubber Soul...well you get the point.

For a band that put out well over a dozen albums, the fact that there wasn't even a hint of a clunker is incredible!

Rubber Soul got my vote for the exact same reasons, although my MFSL vinyl Revolver is a close second.  You have good taste, Dave. :thumb:

Oops...just realized this poll was CD's. :duh:  Oh well, my vote would be the same....

I grew up on this stuff - it was on in the house all day, and it still sounds great!
I vote for all, not allowed, OK I go with Revolver :thumb:

And you forgot Love.

MFSL Revolver - how can anyone not put an album with "Come Together" as #1?

Meet The Beatles....one of the first albums I ever bought....a long time ago.

edit....In the UK...it was "With The Beatles"....In the United States, the same picture was used for the first Capitol album Meet the Beatles!. However, the US copies were tinted blue.

  I don't understand.  Come Together is on Abbey Road, not Revolver.

I'm taking the OP at his strictest and assuming he means "Beatles CD", not vinyl (MFSL's including UHQ's like my Sgt Pepper) or Dr Ebbetts needledrops.  And yes, with the release of all the Capitol Vol 1 and 2 stuff he missed all those, Chris/Lonewolf (Meet The, Second Album, Something Else, VI, Yesterday and Today, etc.).  I mean, growing up in the US during the 60's meant listening to things like She's A Woman/I feel Fine in classic Capitol echo-chamber glory (Dave Dexter-ized).  Or assuming Help had only 7 songs on it, plus movie music (and that the title track included the James Bond-ish intro).

Anyway, as a purest I can't vote Beatles 1 (sorry George...Zybar, not Harrison); it's no-noised to death.  So my vote goes to the Japanese EMI pressing of the Abbey Road cd.  I still own it and prefer it's crazy warmth to anything else out there.  The remastered YSS (Yellow Submarine Songtrack, also not listed) is very kewl, though...and not purist at all.   :D

Dammit - that will teach me not to drink and post.  Of course I meant (and voted for) Abbey Road.

I have a close buddy who discovered his Y&T had the butcher cover underneath the newer steamer trunk one (a Capitol move done after they realized too many covers needed to be destroyed, so they went about pasting new ones).  He sold it for a few hundred, twenty-five years ago, but probably left mucho denero on the table.

Also the first album I ever acquired. Let's not discuss how long ago that was. Voted for Abbey Road.

Hands down my favorite Beatles album. I first heard it in Vietnam and it hit home bigtime!
