getting the best out of the icon

I'm curious as to how one would go about getting the best sound from the icon amp.

I'm experimenting at the moment with foobar2000 and asio support, i hate to sound like a total newbie, but im afraid i am when it comes to the icon.

Im not even sure what the icon IS... is it a sound card technically, can i send it 24/192khz files?

i have foobar2000 working with asio4all driver at the moment, and my ripped dvd audio (to 24/96 wav) of the eagles hotel California is working and sounds great, not sure if its better :)  could be placebo effect.

I think Windows treats it as a USB DAC.  It's limited to 16 bit, 48KHz.

That is correct.
