A question for Jeff.
On the Martin Logan Club-forum, more than a year ago, you wrote about the Sanders Sound Systems ESL monoblocks (these amps are made specifically for electrostatic loudspeakers).
You said you liked them (very much) in your system with the Summits:
While I'm a huge fan of my CJ Premier 350, I have been listening to the Sanders monoblocks for about a week now and am initially very impressed.
They probably need to play for a few hundred more hours to see how much of the slight bit of congestion in the high end clears up, but the bass performance is the best I've ever heard with the Summits. They play cool and they will play very loud if you need them to.
Look for a review in issue 16 of TONEAudio. We are just putting issue 15 to bed now, so 16 will be up around June 10.
I'm very interested in that review!
Here in the Netherlands it's (almost?) impossible to hear/experience the Sanders-stuff...
For a long time I'm ESL-fan and till now my Levinson ML23 did the amp-work (already 20 years!) very well.
But waiting for the Summit-X, or meaby the CLX, I want to upgrade amplification and thinking about Conrad Johnson (ET 250S; the PR 350 is, a pity, hard to get).
Or, the Sanders mono-blocks... in combination with the Sanders pre-amp OR with a CJ pre-amp (ACT2 or CT5).
Jeff, or other people, you can tell more?
Thnx!
