Pomegranate fruit (seeds)
« on: 23 Jan 2009, 05:21 am »
Saw some Pomegranate fruit - the seeds - in the berries section of the grocery store. I think it was 4.99 for about 3 ounces. They looked marvelous, so I grabbed them and had them with equal amount of whole-milk plain yogurt and a few drops liquid splenda. Amazing! THey have the crunch and the fruity taste so they are great in yogurt.

I'm torn about Pomegranate...I hate the effort to get the seeds out of the fruit, but I'm usually too cheap to buy the seeds already picked.  Great stuff though...

Here is an easy way to remove the seeds and without spattering the juice all over you.  aa

I have several trees in my backyard and they are easy to grow out here in SoCal.

Wow that's nice! Any other fruit trees back there?

One Cherimoya but no fruit yet. This one tastes like a combination of pineapple, mango, and plum. One of my favorite ...

and couple Guava trees ...

Have you ever had one of these tropical fruit before?
