I bought the Cornet 2 board along with the step up last summer and it looks like I'll finally have a chance to get started on this. Obviously there are a lot of build options so I'm going to start by reading all the posts, looking at pictures, especially to decide on a chassis. I want it to look good obviously but how it sounds is most important. I'm not really limited as to how much I can invest in parts but obviously want the best bang for the buck.
I built the Cornet 1 several years ago and am still using it. I didn't go crazy with that, standard resistors from the original parts list and musicaps, so I plan on going much farther this time around. There is a lot of info out there on this pre so sorting through everything will be my first task. Wish me luck and feel free to give suggestions.
